Septic Tank Cleaning

image17

The most important maintenance for your septic system is a periodic septic tank cleaning.

This should be done every 2 to 4 years, depending on usage and condition of your system.  Regular maintenance of your system will add years to the life of your septic fields.

When your septic tank is cleaned we will remove dirt above your tank, exposing the cover.  We will then:

  1.   Remove and examine cover for defect
  2.   Clean filter and baffles
  3.   Pump solids and liquids from the tank
  4.   Examine the inside of the tank
  5.   Replace cover and soil over tank
  6.   File paperwork with town where requested

Common pollutants that disrupt your septic’s ecosystem include:

  • Garbage disposal discharge
  • Water softeners
  • Bleach or chemical products
  • Very soft toilet paper products
  • Oil or grease
  • Baby wipes and paper towels

Inspections

Our inspection of your septic system includes:

  •  Check for high water levels in tank and system
  •  Septic tank is examined for stress cracks and deterioration
  • Video Camera inspection of inlet and outlet pipes
  • The leaching field and surrounding area are probed to check for saturation
  • Baffles and filters are examined
  • Map and measurements to system components
  • A written report including pictures and recommendations for repair (if any)
  • Walk around explanation with home buyer
  • Same day tank cleaning available
